Hsiao Shan
Cello, Theory

Hsiao Shan started playing the cello at age 10 and was coached by Herminia Ilano and Zhao Yu Er. In 208 she was accepted in SOTA (School of the arts) and was under the tutelage of Dr Park So Young. She regularly performed solo, chamber and orchestral works during the 6 years in SOTA. She has also played in cello masterclasses with David Commanday, (USS) FranzBartolomey (Vienna) and Inbal Meggido (Israel).

She was awarded the most outstanding performer (Chamber Music) at SOTA and Most Outstanding Player (Strings Section) by Singapore National Youth Orchestra. In 2013, Hsiao Shan was awarded full scholarship to pursue her graduate degree in Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music under the principal cellist of Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) Pei-Sian Ng. She graduated in 2017.with Bachelor in Music Performance (cello).

Hsiao Shan started coaching in 2015 and has experience coaching students of all level and age group.
